Privacy Policy
The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.
Exceptions include:
- Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse. We are required by law to immediately report such abuse to the appropriate authorities.
- If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person, we must immediately notify the police and inform the intended victim.
- If a client intends to harm themselves, we will make every effort to ensure their safety. If they choose not to cooperate, we are required to take appropriate action, with or without client consent, to ensure client safety.
